Becoming an effective Director of Studies
The main qualities of a good PhD Director of Studies is knowledgeable about both the material, field and methods you’ll be using. Becoming a reflective Mentor Supervisor
The mentor supervisor should be someone who is inspiring and uplifting, who helps their trainee supervisor reach new heights. Someone is not a good mentor supervisor if they lack enthusiasm and interest in their role as your mentor and do not offer verbal and knowledgeable reflective encouragement.
